SBMU health Care System Visited by British & Dutch Health Care System Representatives

Professors Greg O’ Shea (From the UK), and Arend Roos, and Ron De Graaff (from the Netherlands) , the representatives of their respective country’s health care systems, visited SBMU health care system in late December, 2013. They were being hosted by Professor Gharehbaghian, the SBMU Director of the International Affairs Office. The group visited the uniform informatics system of the SBMU affiliated Taleghani Educational Hospital and the way the system was utilized in inpatient setting.

In the visit, the Vice-Director in Educational Affairs of Taleghani Hospital as well as its Informatics Technology (IT) System Manager detailed the visiting group about the uniform IT system utilized in the hospital, and briefed the group about their future plans in IT, including participation in the telemedicine project.

At the end of the visit to the hospital, the group visited the Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) ward of the hospital to see how the uniform IT System was utilized there.   

Then, the guests visited different places of the SBMU School of Medicine, and finally they met Professor Ali Haeri, the SBMU Chancellor’s High Ranking Consultant. During the meeting, Professor Haeri detailed the visiting group about the SBMU systems in various educational, research, health, and treatment.
